Artist Biography
Silpa Baby is a self taught artist living in Bay Area. She loves to explore her creative instincts through painting. Every piece of work she creates comes from her love to experiment with a particular medium, style, technique or subject. She started her painting journey on glass and later switched to canvas and paper. Silpa took a long hiatus from her artistic endeavors while working in the tech industry.
Art has always been a passion for her. She paints everything she feels inspired to. Silpa loves being in nature and look for inspirations in what she sees around her. She currently works with acrylic, gouache, water color and mixed media. She explores a variety of subjects in her work including landscapes, florals, animals, still life, portraits and abstract art. Her paintings have been auctioned, displayed in museums, juried art shows and galleries. Through her work she aims to inspire hope and promote a positive outlook on life.
